This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit this portfolio website.

2. Hosting and delivery (Cloudflare)

This website is delivered via Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technical connection data such as your IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, referrer, and browser and operating system information. This is necessary to deliver the site and to protect it against attacks and misuse.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of this website). Cloudflare acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. Data may be processed in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for which an EU adequacy decision exists (Art. 45 GDPR).

Request logs are kept for at most 7 days. Fonts are served from this website itself; no connection to a font provider is made.

3. Storage on your device

This site sets no cookies for visitors. It stores two small entries in your browser, and neither is sent to us or to anyone else:

• If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (site-paper) so the site keeps it on your next visit.
• So the opening animation plays only once per visit, a flag is kept in session storage (site-loader). It is deleted when you close the tab.

Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, as this storage is strictly necessary to provide the site as you use it.

4. Embedded video and images (Movity)

The films and their thumbnails are hosted by Movity, operated by Vision Cine X Inc., 166 Geary St STE 1500, Suite #586, San Francisco, CA 94108, USA.

• Pictures. The stills and posters on every page load directly from Movity's servers, so your browser connects to Movity as soon as a page opens, sharing your IP address and browser information with Movity.
• Video. When you open a film, from the grid or on its own page, Movity's player loads and streams it. Pointing at or touching a film, or on a phone a film that stays on screen for a moment, may open the connection to the player a little early, so the film starts faster.

The short preview clips that play when you point at a film are served from this website itself, not by Movity.

Movity's servers run on Cloudflare (see section 2), so data may be processed in the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The player is protected by Cloudflare's bot detection, which may store a technically necessary security cookie in your browser. If you choose a caption language, the player saves that choice in your browser's local storage, and it remembers for the current session if you dismissed one of its notices.

5. Contact

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, message) to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a project or contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your data is deleted once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. External links

This site links to third-party websites (e.g. social media profiles, representation agencies). No data is transferred to them until you click a link. Their own privacy policies apply from then on.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), and data portability (Art. 20). If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

Right to object: Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

To exercise your rights, contact us using the details in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state of your residence or place of work. The authority responsible for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the website or legal requirements change.
